PROJECT ONE. THE SHADOW AS THRESHOLD

This drawing connects to my ideas regarding my selected scientists Kuepper and Darwin in multiple ways. Firstly the jumbled chaotic nature of its composition - science is not a linear progression of thoughts, there has to be lots of room for false starts and abandoned ideas. Secondly its being black and white - what is proved in science is implied as definite and yet there is so much grey area to be worked within. And thirdly its slightly deconstructed depiction where it appears multiple people have come in and added their contribution. It is these notions of ambiguity and progression I want to capture within my laboratory.
